  1. CLAUDIUS PTOLEMY
    was born around 140 A.D. and was a strong believer in the geocentric theory. He wrote thirteen volumes about the motion of the planet that clearly explained the geocentric theory was right. The Roman Catholic church was agreed with it, and since they were in power at the time any one who disagreed with it was punished. He was a famous Astronomer and mathematician of his time even though most of his theory's were later proven wrong.
